Progress helps us to solve the challenges of our time. At the same time, (technological) progress is not possible without people. On the contrary: People with their special talents are becoming increasingly important.
Therefore, as PwC Austria’s leadership team, we place progress and care at the very top on our agenda and work together with over 1,400 talented employees on the most pressing challenges of our time.
My family ran a family business, which produced balloons. Thereby, this is what I have learned early on: Cross-generational values are the basis for sustainable success. I stand for that in my function as CEO of PwC Austria. Because values build trust in insecure times. And nowadays this is more important than ever.
Designing future means to strike out in new directions. We have rarely had so much freedom like nowadays. Thereby, we carry a huge responsibility: towards the environment, the society and the upcoming generations.
I would like to find answers for the most pressing questions of our time with all ideas and talents that we have at PwC and actively shape our future.
“Care” is the value at PwC that motivates me the most. Initiatives such as our SHINE network for the LGBTIQA+ community, our women network or measures in the area of mental health at PwC Austria are therefore particularly close to my heart.
We are a people business. Even if many traditional activities are being replaced by new technologies, we need even more urgently talented employees, who think interdisciplinary. As a head of Tax and Legal Consulting I am fascinated to see how the tax function changes and how completely new fields of consulting emerge.
Tax and legal consulting is not the same anymore – this is good! Nowadays we work interdisciplinary together and walk new, agile paths with our clients. I am excited about the future.
We, as certified auditors, must remain calm under pressure and make precise decisions – similar to the referees at football. They are doing a good job, when you do not notice them in the game. Also, we, as certified auditors, often work in the background. In doing so, we ensure with our work nothing less than trust in the economy, the essential prerequisite for growth.
As head of Assurance, I am aware of this huge responsibility. In order to do justice to it, we rely on the highest quality and the best talents.
In order to keep an eye on the essentials, I need diversion. At home, my two daughters give me new ideas. While cycling or skiing, I clear my head.
Promoting women in management positions and accompanying various companies in their transformation – this is my passion and my declared aim.
In this role I lead the area Clients & Markets. Furthermore, I am responsible for the areas Sustainability and Finance Transformation. Before I began to work at PwC Austria in 2010, I worked over 25 years in the telecommunications industry in consulting and finance.
New perspective, new ideas and constant change: That is what fascinates me about our work every day anew. I love to pass on my enthusiasm for it. In order for the change to follow a clear vision, I need distance from time to time – the all-around view. I get it during hiking and in art.
Nothing of the sort “everything used to be better”: As a father of twins, I am obliged to keep pace – and this is how it should be. New technologies such as Artificial Intelligence change the way we work and add value. This presents huge opportunities for our clients and for us as a company.
My task as head of Advisory is to recognise and use these. Furthermore, I am head of the financial services department with more than 30 years of experience in banking and advisory.
The future offers us huge freedom. I am excited for all positive effects that the new technologies currently bring. However, people will always take the centre stage despite all the technological progress.
When I started my first real job at PwC when I was 25, we were a small company. Meanwhile, we employ 1,400 motivated talents that astound me every day. The external influences also have changed significantly. Artificial Intelligence and new business models require that we, as an entity, walk new paths. Transformation is our constant companion.
My task as COO is to reduce the complexity of the world, in which we live and work. As a lawyer and tax advisor, I also lead the department Asset & Wealth Management.
As a father of three, it takes a lot to upset me. I also do not necessarily need peace, because I am full of energy. Therefore, I love it to be on the stage together with the PwC band and my guitar and to pass this energy on to the audience.

We have diverse cultural backgrounds and we all come from different life situations. However, we all share our values. They outline what the clients expect from us, they are the guiding star of our behaviour when interacting with one another and challenge us to give our best. Our values guide our acts and are the basis of our success.
Our five values and their implicit principles of conduct build the context, in which we fulfil our purpose: To build trust in society and solve important problems.
Our Code of Conduct clearly captures these fundamental values.
How do we live these values in practice? When we work with clients and colleagues, these are our guiding principles.
What motivates us? Our motivation to be number 1 for our clients. Our combination of experience and innovative spirit is our advantage. We combine our traditional core competencies in the field of tax consulting, assurance and advisory with our digital know-how, agility and innovative approaches for the transformation of companies, methods and business models.
